According to data provided by the Municipal Commission of Industry and Information Technology, during the 12th Five Year Plan period, the autonomous region issued a total of 25.2 tons of standard coal for key energy consuming enterprises in Guilin. In 2016, Guilin's industrial energy conservation work achieved significant results, with the added value energy consumption of industrial units in the city decreasing from 0.9 tons of standard coal in 2015 to 0.8 tons of standard coal, which is 0.3 tons of standard coal lower than the provincial average. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, the cumulative decrease was 45.7%, which is 26.8 percentage points lower than the cumulative decrease of 18% required by the autonomous region, exceeding the target task of the 12th Five Year Plan ahead of schedule; In the first quarter of last year, the energy consumption of industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in the city decreased by 16.81%.

The "Huaneng Guilin Gas Distributed Energy Co., Ltd." is funded by "Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd." and "Guilin Sanjin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd." in a ratio of 80% and 20% respectively. The first phase of the project installs three sets of 6F.01 steam combined cycle units and is scheduled to officially start construction on September 30, 2014. It will be put into operation for heating at the end of 2015. As the first distributed energy project of "China Huaneng Group Corporation", the issue of energy conservation and emission reduction has also attracted social attention. According to the national energy-saving and emission reduction policy released in 2016, the power plant has already carried out an upgrade and renovation of the condensate pump system. It is understood that four "Anhui Wofu permanent magnet speed controllers" have been used on the condensate pump for pump speed regulation renovation. After the project is completed, the company will reduce smoke and dust emissions by 7.8 tons per year, resulting in a 15.8% decrease in smoke and dust emissions, while creating a natural gas energy-saving benefit of 575 tons of standard coal per year. It is expected to increase sales revenue by 1.52 million yuan per year.
